Wells College women's lacrosse midfielder Mackenzie Maloney earned North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week ending April 15, 2018. Maloney, a junior from Huntington, N.Y. was the Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week.
Maloney scored 14 points over two conference games for the Express. On Sunday, she totaled eight goals and two assists as Wells defeated Cazenovia 17-8. Saturday against Morrisville, Maloney factored on four of the five Wells goals with three goals and an assist. Over two games on the weekend she totaled 10 draw controls, nine ground balls, and five caused turnovers.
Wells is 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. Maloney leads the team with 29 goals and 36 points.
It is her first NEAC weekly honor of the 2018 season. She is a two-time all-conference selection and was the NEAC Rookie of the Year in 2016.
