First-Place Morrisville Outscores Wells Women's Lacrosse

The Wells College women's lacrosse team took on first-place Morrisville State College and the visiting Mustangs prevailed 21-5 on Saturday, April 14 at the Wells Turf Field.

Morrisville remained undefeated in North Eastern Athletic Conference play and is 4-0 in the conference, with a 6-6 overall record. Wells is 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the NEAC. The Express is back in action Sunday, April 15 against Cazenovia College at 2 p.m.

Renee Bartosz and Mackenzie Maloney scored first-half goals for the Express. Morrisville led 14-2 at halftime.

Maloney added two more goals on free-position shots in the second half, and she assisted Julia Smith's goal in the final minute of the game. Maloney led Wells with eight draw controls.

Anna Bozeat had 10 saves.
