In game one, Shannon Blanford would lead the offense going three for four with two stolen bases. The offense would not heat up for the Express until the end sixth inning scoring four runs. Cazenovia would be out of reach however for the Express who would lose the first game 12 to 7. Lorelei Meier was the starting pitcher with 11 strike outs on the day.

In game one, Lorelei Meier held the spotlight shutting down Morrisville with a record setting fifteen strikeouts to earn the win for the Express. Catcher Kelly Cornwell called an amazing game behind the plate. The Express offense exploded with six hits putting up five runs in their 5-2 win in game one.

Lorelei Meier pitched a tremendous game shutting down Morrisville with twelve strikeouts on the day. Error’s in the field would be costly later in the game allowing Morrisville in the door to pass the Express by with five runs to the Express’s two.
